Upstairs in the gallery exhibitions change every 4 weeks and can feature anything from paintings, drawings and photography to sculpture, textiles and furniture design. The Mill is a proud supporter of Tasmanian artists with our group exhibition in December-January showcases some of the best local artists. The foyer entrance from Paterson Street displays a works by many artists including the quirky prints and etchings of celebrated Tasmanian artist Tom Samek.

Our emphasis is on Tasmanian creations with hand-made, beautifully designed items to treasure – from jewellery and textiles, to pottery, wood design, prints, gift cards and other award-winning gift items such as Anita Dineen’s ‘glide’ gourmet knife.

We are also home to newly created designer ranges of fine Tasmanian merino wool clothing for adventure and leisure by ‘Smitten‘.
